One in a Million Award recipient: Super Jay Brand

Where they are multiplying good: Holland, Michigan

How they are multiplying good: They are is One in a Million. Masks with a Mission! The Super Jay Brand supports the efforts of a local Down syndrome Association in West Michigan through donations made from sales at Poppin Huis, a gourmet popcorn and vintage candy shop. Super Jay Brand was created as a result of the book I Am Me by Katelyn S. Herrygers. The illustrated children's book is all about building self-efficacy, understanding the power of community, and recognizing that we are all meant to be. Super Jay was inspired by Katelyn's son, Jameson, who has Down syndrome. At the onset of COVID-19, Lisa Sandor, Katelyn's mother and co-owner of Poppin Huis, decided to make masks and donate her time and resources so that every mask sold would allow Super Jay Brand to continue to donate $3.21 as promised. As of May 8, 2020, 533 masks were purchased amounting to a 2020 donation addition of $1,710.93! Information: $4.21 includes $3.21 donation and $1.00 shipping and handling. Made in Allegan, Michigan with donated material and time, each mask is double layered 100% cotton. Each purchase helps Super Jay Brand support resources, access to services, and programming for families throughout West Michigan. 100% of the proceeds from each Super Jay Mask sold went toward our Super Jay Brand 2020 donations to the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan. All masks are made with donated fabric and specific pattern/design selections cannot be accommodated. Masks may have elastic or ties.
