Where they are multiplying good: San Francisco, CA
How they are multiplying good: John Burton Advocates for Youth (JBAY) works with 3.8 million transitional aged youth (TAY) in California including college students, foster youth, young parents, and homeless youth. This year, JBAY partnered with Golden State Opportunity (GSO) to reach several thousand TAY to let them know about the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) and Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC), encouraging those eligible to file their taxes in order to receive a refund to help with everyday needs. JBAY has also worked with their TAY to walk them through their FAFSA (financial aid) and other financial security and public benefit programs to ensure that they receive what they're eligible for.
