One in a Million Award recipient: Danielle DeMaria, Nurse

Where she's multiplying good: Long Island, New York

How she's multiplying good: "I am One in a Million. Going to work has always been an unknown - that is the nature of being a nurse. During this pandemic, the unknown is associated with fear. Fear of getting ill myself, fear of not being able to save my patients, fear of bringing this virus home to my baby, fear of not having proper PPE to protect myself, fear of death. Fear of what I know, and fear of what I don’t. Knowing I will witness deaths each day, praying that it’s less than the day before. But despite all of the fear, I show up to work and give it all I’ve got, knowing I did my best."
