One in a Million Award recipient: Asian Hispanic Empowerment Organization

Where they are multiplying good:  Columbia, South Carolina

How they are multiplying good: They are One in a Million. The Asian Hispanic Empowerment Organization gives the opportunity for the youth to spread their passion towards creating a more diversely educated society. The nonprofit allows young adults to teach children from K-1 to 5th grade about the different cultures of the world in order for young minority children to feel proud of their heritage instead of suppressing their backgrounds. This also allows children in general, individuals who are more prone to learning and growing, to see the world's diversity in a positive way instead of a means to make fun of differences. The organization also has a following on social media with posts that educate individuals about the importance of empowering people of color. (@asianhispanicorg on Instagram). The Asian Hispanic Empowerment Organization also works to publish soft and hard copy literature and art through a journal called "Undivided". Undivided contains art, literature, stories of people of color, and articles relating to current events involving racial equality and heritage celebration.
